Brass dial wall clock, 1780-1790.

Mahogany wall clock. Top section with a molded cornice, a pierced and scrolled crest, three brass urn-an-spire finials, a scrolled skirt, and a rectangular door with a glazed bell-shaped opening. Bottom section with molded cornice, chamfered front corners, and cove and ovolo molding at the bottom. Circular brass dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, a rope twist border at the other edge, an engraved seconds dial and the inscription "Simon Willard." Thirty hour movement.
